Conjunctions In Hindi - Conjunction एक ऐसा शब्द है, जो शब्दों को या वाक्यों को आपस में जोड़ने का कार्य करता है, इसे Sentence linker भी कहा जाता है।
A conjunction is a word that connects or joins words or sentences together.
Types Of Conjunction With Examples-
Conjunction को निम्न तीन भागों में वर्गीकृत किया गया है।
1. Coordinating conjunction
2. Subordinating conjunction
3. Correlative conjunction
1. Coordinating conjunction:-
ये Conjunction दो समान rank के sentences या words को जोड़ते है। इस तरह के मुख्य Conjunction है- for- के लिये, and- और/तथा, nor- और न ही, but- लेकिन/परंतु, or- या, yet- अभी तक, so- इसलिए।
ये मुख्यतः सात प्रकार के होते है – FANBOYS.
Examples-
1. He is getting the award for his good work.
उन्हें अपने अच्छे काम के लिए पुरस्कार मिल रहा है।
2. I know Hindi and English.
मैं हिंदी और अंग्रेजी जानता हूं।
3. He neither likes to eat banana nor that eat.
उसे न तो केला खाना पसंद है और न ही केला खाना।
4. He is rich but dishonest.
वह अमीर लेकिन बेईमान है।
5. Please give me a pen or a pencil.
कृपया मुझे एक पेन या पेंसिल दें।
6. She is thirty-two years old, yet she is not married.
वह बत्तीस साल की है, अभी तक उसकी शादी नहीं हुई है।
7. Raghav had done hard work so he is a success.
राघव ने कड़ी मेहनत की इसलिए वह सफल है।
Explanation:-
उपर्युक्त वाक्यों में Subject एक ही स्तर के दो Nouns को Co-relate कर रहा है, इन दो Nouns को जोड़ने का कार्य Conjunctions- For, and, nor, but, yet, so कर रहा है। अतः यह Conjuction दो समान Rank वाले शब्दों या वाक्यों को जोड़ने का कार्य करता है।

2. Sub-ordinating conjunction:-
जिन conjunctions द्वारा एक subordinating clause को अन्य clause से जोड़ा जाता है। subordinating clause वह है जो अपने पूर्ण अर्थ के लिए अन्य clauseपर निर्भर होता है, इस तरह के मुख्य conjunction है।
Examples-
After- के बाद, although- यद्यपि, as- जैसा, as if- जैसे कि, as long as- जब तक, as though- यद्यपि/हालांकि, because- इसलिये/क्योंकि, before- इससे पहले, even if- भले ही, if- यदि/अगर, if only- यदि केवल, in order that -उस क्रम में, now that- चूंकि अब, once- एक बार, rather than- बजाय, since- जबसे, so that- ताकि, till- जब तक, whenever- जब कभी, where- कहाँ पे, whereas- जहाँ तक, wherever- जहां कहीं भी, while- पर/जबकि, yet- अभी तक।
1. Ram is happy because he has qualified for the exam.
राम खुश हैं क्योंकि उसने परीक्षा के लिए उत्तीर्ण कर लिया है।
2. I will give you a prize if you qualify for the exam.
यदि आप परीक्षा में उत्तीर्ण होते हैं तो मैं आपको पुरस्कार दूंगा।
3. Raghav said that he could not at home.
राघव ने कहा कि वह घर पर नहीं हो सकता।
4. They are clapping while she is singing.
जब वह गा रही हो तो वे ताली बजा रहे हैं।
5. You can call me when you feel free.
जब आप फ्री हो मुझे काल कर सकते हैं।
6. Savita is old still she can walk a mile.
सविता बूढ़ी है फिर भी वह एक मील चल सकती है।
7. She is old yet she is active.
वह बूढ़ी है अभी तक वह सक्रिय है।
8. Though he is not a hard worker, he is successful.
हालाँकि वह एक मेहनती नहीं है, लेकिन वह सफल है।
9. You can come to my home while you got permission.
अनुमति मिलने पर आप मेरे घर आ सकते हैं।
10. Strike the iron while it is hot.
गर्म होने पर लोहे पर वार करें।
11. Don't go before the mother comes.
माँ के आने से पहले मत जाना।
12. You don't mind whether they come or not.
तुम बुरा नहीं मानना कि वे आते हैं या नहीं।
3.Correlative conjunction:-
जो Conjunction जोड़े (pairs) में प्रयोग किया जाते है, उन्हें Correlation conjunction कहा जाता है।
Examples-
| Either...or | neither...no | Both....and | whether...or | Not only....but also |
| या तो... या | न तो...न ही | दोनों...और | कि...या | न केवल... बल्कि |
1. Either Director or assistant will call you for a job.
या तो निदेशक या सहायक आपको नौकरी के लिए बुलाएगा।
2. This movie can watch both children and adults.
यह फिल्म बच्चे और वयस्क दोनों देख सकतें है।
3. I don’t know whether he will eat food or not.
मुझे नहीं पता कि वह खाना खाएगा या नहीं।
4. I could help neither Karan nor Prem.
मैं न तो करन और न ही प्रेम की मदद कर सकता था।
5. Reshma neither reads nor writes.
रेशमा न तो पढ़ती है और न ही लिखती है।
6. He not only Hindi but also reads English well.
वह न केवल हिंदी पढ़ता है, बल्कि अंग्रेजी भी अच्छी तरह से पढ़ता है।
